"Aeromarine West Indies Airways"
"The return of an airline that offers the romance and adventure of a bygone age!"
Begun in 2004 as an effort to revive the memory of the original Aeromarine and establish a seaplane station in the tropical Indian River region of south-central Florida, the re-establishment of Aeromarine, was delayed until a scheduled move in 2005 to our new location at Kathrinstadt Airport, www.Kathrinstadt-Airport.com, in the "First Coast" region of northeast Florida near beautiful and historic St. Augustine and the majestic St. Johns river was complete...
Our business plan is to begin operations in specific stages... Aeromarine West Indies Airways will be operating from both a floating terminal/seaplane tender moored in the St Johns river, as well as various land-based (airport) terminals, our goal being to provide a "unique" aviation experience to our customers... the discriminating traveler/weekend adventurer who wishes to book passage to various exotic locals and experience air travel with the level of luxury and customer care that was commonplace back in the "Golden Age" of aviation, the 1920's & 1930's, as well as individuals and their families with an adventurous spirit who are looking for an exciting and memorable experience...
Aeromarine will be offering both limousine services at our airport terminals, and a scheduled motor launch service to our floating terminal facility, where people can enjoy a day on the water, our onboard restaurant, ships store/pilot supply shop, aeronautics training at Aeromarine's School of Aeronautics, scheduled river tours, small boat rentals (for personal excursions out on the river), as well as larger boat (30'- 40') rentals for weekend adventures.
Aeromarine's next stage of operations will include scheduled passenger service between St. Augustine, Palm Beach, and Key West, aeronautics training at Aeromarine's School of Aeronautics, its curriculum including both aviation ground school (with an emphasis on seaplane operations) as well as practical flight training in land-based training aircraft, a waterborne groundschool (seaplane operations, navigation, waterborne hazards, etc), and tours of the St. Johns river in both our flyingboat trainer as well as our Aeromarine motor launch... Aeromarine will, at this time, also begin offering small and large boat rentals for the more independent adventurers among you!
Our eventual goal is to not only provide the most memorable aviation experience, reminiscent of the exciting bygone age of flight, but to offer the finest quality aeronautics training, aviation related products & pilot supplies, and to expand our routes to include regularly scheduled service to Freeport, Bimini, Fort Myers, Pensacola, and Savannah, as well as additional flights to New Orleans, San Juan, the Virgin Islands, and Havana Cuba (pending its opening to American air commerce).
*Note: Aeromarine West Indies Airways Corp. has applied for an Air Carrier Certificate for scheduled domestic and international air service in accordance with FAR (Federal Air Regulations) Part 121. Flight operations and flight schedules are tentative pending final approval of Air Carrier Certification.
